All hail June: Check out these clips viewers took of Wednesday's thunderstorms

Here's a round-up of footage from thunderstorms that swept across the state Wednesday.

MAINE, USA — Wednesday began with sunny skies and intense humidity. As the afternoon rolled by, so did the clouds, bringing rain and severe thunderstorms across the state and surprising others with, well, they weren't ice cubes.

NEWS CENTER Maine's weather team was on point with their morning forecast, suggesting the humidity would lead to rain, wind gusts, and of course, half-inch-sided hail.

With severe weather, there is always a chance of downed trees and powerlines. Early this evening, the Old Town Fire Department responded to both just outside Sewall Park.
