Motorcyclist, 22, dies in Gorham crash

The crash remains under investigation, and police are looking to talk with witnesses.

GORHAM, Maine — A motorcyclist died in a crash with a car in Gorham on Tuesday.

Nolan Irish, 22, of Gorham, died at the scene, Gorham police said in a release Wednesday.

The crash happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Flaggy Meadow Road and Cressey Road, the release stated. 

Irish was traveling west on Flaggy Meadow Road while a Honda Civic was headed north on Cressey Road, and the two vehicles collided in the westbound lane of Flaggy Meadow Road, police said.

Officials identified the driver of the Honda Civic as Lily Courtney, 21, of Biddeford. She was evaluated by Gorham Rescue but she was not taken to a hospital, according to the release.

Police said they are looking to speak with a witness who was operating a white pickup truck in the area at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Windham Police Department, the release stated,

Gorham Police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or any actions prior to the crash call Detective Stephen Hinkley at 207-222-1660 ext. 1.
