DALLAS — In addition to airing every game of the 2024 NBA Finals on our station, WFAA is also hosting a special presentation called "The Pregame" before each and every matchup in the series. Head here for more information.
After being crowned the 2024 Western Conference Champions on Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks now look to their opponent in the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics.
Over the course of five games, the Mavs found ways to win when it looked like they might be out for the count.
Two back-to-back close wins in Minnesota kicked the series off for the Mavs by building some serious confidence. It became increasingly apparent that the Mavs would take the series when they returned home to Dallas in Game 3. Despite a lackluster third quarter in Game 3, the Mavs were able to secure a dominant nine-point win, with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scoring 33 points each.
The Mavs returned to Minnesota after dropping Game 4 of the series and left their mark on the Timberwolves by completing the 4-1 "gentleman's sweep."
While it's important to celebrate accomplishments, the Mavs will be quick to turn around and get focused up as they prepare for the Celtics.
Be sure to tune into WFAA as all games will be aired on ABC, the exclusive broadcasting network of the NBA Finals.
