BLOOMINGTON, Indiana — Star power will collide in Bloomington, Indiana, next weekend as two of the nation's top women's basketball players are set to play against each other.
Iowa star Caitlin Clark on Thursday became the NCAA women's career scoring leader, surpassing the all-time record with a 35-foot 3-pointer. Last week, Gorham native Mackenzie Holmes became the all-time leading scorer in Indiana University women's basketball history. Next Thursday, Feb. 22, Iowa and Indiana go head-to-head.
As of Friday, Iowa (23-3) was ranked #4 in the country and Indiana (21-3) was ranked #14. Both teams are in the Big Ten conference and have a 12-2 in-conference record this season.
