Fire officials: Person 'severely injured' in Holden car crash

HOLDEN, Maine — A person was "severely injured" in a car crash Wednesday morning on Lower Dedham Road in Holden, according to the town's fire department. 

The Holden and Eddington fire departments responded to the crash at around 6 a.m., according to a social media post from Holden Fire/Rescue. The crash involved one car that hit a tree. 

One person in the car was severely injured and trapped inside, according to the social media post. Crews were able to remove the person from the car and take them to the hospital. 

"Thank you Dedham fire for help as this was right near the Holden/Dedham line," the post said.
