Maine State Police are investigating the case, but they have not released the cause and manner of death.

PALMYRA, Maine — State officials have released the identity of a man who died from his injuries in connection with a stabbing investigation in Palmyra that occurred Oct. 11.

Todd Parsons, 48, of Palmyra was critically injured during the incident and died a week later on Oct. 18, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss shared Thursday in an updated news release.

The chief medical examiner's office performed an autopsy, but state officials said Parsons' cause and manner of death were not being released at this time.
