CUSHING, Maine — A third person has been charged in connection with a death investigation in Knox County.
Kyle MacDougall, 45, of Waldoboro was found dead after Maine State Police detectives and evidence response technicians responded to a residence on River Road in Cushing on July 13 and 14. His cause and manner of death have not yet been released.
John Flower, 39, of Rockland was arrested Thursday and charged with hindering, a class B felony, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Friday in a news release.
Flower was being held at the Knox County Jail on unrelated charges when Maine State Police detectives arrested him around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. He was expected to appear in Knox County Superior Court at 1 p.m. Friday.
Jason Hewett, 39, of Augusta has also been named a suspect in MacDougall's death. Hewett has been charged with eluding an officer, domestic assault, and manslaughter, Moss said. He allegedly led police on a chase that turned into a four-hour standoff in Augusta.
Mark Gagne, 41, of Cushing has been charged with hindering apprehension and abuse of a corps in connection with the case, according to officials.
