Miniature theater taking place in a Portland home

The small, intimate shows feature a live performance and a homemade dinner.

PORTLAND, Maine — In the 20 years of 207, there have been lots, and I mean lots, of interesting stories featuring Mainers who do interesting things. That’s the case for David Worobec who put on big productions on a tiny stage.

In 2015, Caroline Cornish took us to Tophat Toy Theater and showed us how Worobec put on his productions. That night it was a production of "Oklahoma!", complete with small action figures and Woroboc voicing the various parts.

The audience was a small, intimate group, who went to his mother’s Portland home. First guests get a homemade dinner made by Woroboc’s mother and then they sit in the living room for a show.
