Police are asking the public for help to identify a person of interest in a South Portland bank robbery that happened Friday afternoon.
South Portland police were called to the Key Bank located at 445 Gorham Rd. for a reported robbery just before noon on Friday, according to a news release from the South Portland Police Department.
In a Facebook post on Friday night, police said a man in a vehicle displayed a note to bank employees demanding cash and stating he had an explosive device. The man reportedly drove away in a Chevrolet Suburban with an unknown amount of cash.
No arrests have yet to be made in the investigation. Investigators have developed a person of interest and are asking for the public's help in identifying the individual.
