MAINE, USA — After more than a week of dealing with a network outage, Hannaford.com is live again. Shoppers can place Hannaford To Go pickup and delivery orders.
The company shared Nov. 7 that a network issue had impacted its website, pharmacies, and payment methods at several stores. At one point, some pharmacies were unable to accept phone calls. Hannaford at the time advised customers to visit other pharmacies to fill their prescriptions.
On Nov. 8, Hannaford released a statement that most stores were again accepting all major forms of payment, including credit cards. However, its website was still impacted by the network issue, resulting in Hannaford To Go orders for pickup and delivery being canceled.
The company's website is now live, and To Go services are back up and running, according to a statement sent Monday, more than 10 days following the initial network outage.
"We appreciate our customers' patience, and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience," the statement said. "We recognize that our customers rely on us to nourish their families and we deeply value that relationship. And, we greatly appreciate our associates for their support and commitment to serving our customers with care and compassion."
Hannaford officials have not said what caused the network outage. However, Hannaford's parent company Ahold Delhaize announced last week that a cybersecurity issue affected their U.S. network.
Hannaford has stores in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York.
