MAINE, USA — Wednesday will start with temperatures between 5° inland an 15° at the coast. It'll stay cold too, with highs in the upper teens inland and into the mid 20s at the coast. We'll have some sun early, then clouds move in later in the day on Wednesday.
Snow starts very early Thursday morning and continues through most of the day. It'll stay cold Thursday, too.
Here's a first shot at the timeline.
Note: Timeline and amounts will change depending on movement and strength of the low.
Between midnight and 3 a.m. Thursday, snow moves into southern Maine.
Snow is in central Maine by mid-morning.
Bangor will see snow around lunchtime.
Snow continues through supper time.
And starts to wrap up late Thursday night.
It'll stay cold all day, with high temperatures in the teens, so the snow will be light and fluffy.
The farther south you are, the better the chance for higher snow amounts.
Coastal York and Cumberland County will likely get over 6" with inland locations picking up between 3-6". The Midcoast and the Downeast coast we have in the 3-6" range right now, but could shift that up when new model data comes in. Lewiston, Augusta, and Bangor are all in the 1-3" range, and points to the north and west of that will likely be under an inch.
As always, we'll keep you updated with changes.
