Much of Maine woke up to measurable snow Monday. Here are the snowfall totals so far.

Here are the snowfall totals for Maine from trained spotters so far.

MAINE, USA — Some spots, especially in the mountains, are still seeing snow fall as of noon Monday, with temperatures pinned in the upper 20s.

Overall, however, the precipitation shield is breaking up as the low-pressure system moves farther out to sea. (Yes, it's "farther," not "further." My English teacher would be so proud.)

As the low pulls away, any additional snow will be the result of an inverted trough hanging off the back of the storm.
