The campers were not directly struck and were in a shelter during the storm, but trees outside the camp were hit and splintered, according to a Facebook post by Moultonborough Fire Rescue.

When emergency officials arrived, the campers were in the care of camp medical staff. They were brought to the camp infirmary after the strike and eventually were brought by ambulance to local hospitals for precautionary treatment, the post stated.

Camp Tecumseh is a residential camp for boys ages 8 to 16 and is situated along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, according to its website.
