Maine sees new records set with unusually high temps in November

The most impressive Saturday record was set in Portland, where the temperature hit 75 degrees.

PORTLAND, Maine — Record high temperatures were broken across the state on Saturday.

In Caribou, the temperature hit 73 degrees, breaking the previous record for the date of 67, set in 1982.

In Bangor, the high was also 73 degrees, breaking the previous record of 71, set in 1938.

The most impressive record was set in Portland, where the temperature hit 75 degrees.

Not only is this a record for the date, breaking the previous one of 71 degrees set in 1994, but it is the all-time warmest high temperature recorded in November. The previous record warmest temperature in November was 74 degrees, set in 2020, 2003, 1987, and 1974.

Unseasonably warm weather will continue for the second half of the weekend, as well.
