MAINE, Maine — It's almost time to get the short sleeves and shorts out in Maine, and it's not even the middle of April yet.
A run for the 70s and 80s is in the cards away from the coast as a big ridge of high pressure moves into town.
As high pressure travels down the jet stream, the weather highway, you can look for temps to go way up by Thursday and into Friday.
The ridge won't break down until the upcoming weekend, so I expect Friday to be the warmest day. Keep in mind that the sea breeze will knock the temps down during the midday hours for Thursday and Friday along coastal communities.
Nevertheless, here is an early look at what temps will look like on Friday afternoon. Notice the sea breeze along the coast and the very warm temps inland.
There are indications that the warmer-than-average pattern will last into the middle of the month.
I'll have more updates on my social media this week.
