A winter chill will continue all week with temperatures remaining below average.
Today we'll have a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the low to middle 30s. There could be a few flurries in the afternoon.
Clouds will increase on Wednesday as a "clipper" system approaches. Clippers lack moisture but will still give us a burst of snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A few inches are possible inland, and perhaps a bit more than that in parts of northern Maine. Warmer air will surge into the coast changing snow to rain and limiting accumulations to an inch or less. Regardless, Thursday morning's commute will be slick and slippery for many as the storm system wraps up. The afternoon will turn drier.
Here's a look at what we are expecting for snow totals:
Behind this system, a cold wind will whip Friday and temperatures will remain below freezing.
Have a good day.
