Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Watches have been issued for sections of Maine and New Hampshire this weekend.
The combination of temperature and humidity will create "feels-like" temps around or over 100 degrees. When it gets that hot, you've got to take it seriously. Reserve strenuous outdoor activities for the early morning hours. Don't forget to check on your elderly neighbors. Families with animals, don't leave your pets outside in the scorching sun. Basically, use common sense.
The stifling heat won't break until Sunday evening, when some drenching and gusty thunderstorms roll through breaking the heat and humidity. Much of next week will feature seasonable temps around 80.
