PORTLAND, Maine — Several flights to and from the Portland International Jetport were impacted Friday after a small plane blew a tire upon landing.
The jetport posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, just before 12:30 p.m. to say the aircraft was disabled in the intersection of the runways, but there were no injuries.
Shortly after, the jetport posted again to say that the primary runway had reopened, but three flights were diverted and would be recovering to Portland shortly.
A jetport spokesperson told NEWS CENTER Maine eight flights—four arrivals and four departures—were impacted due to the disabled plane.
