Ticonic Bridge in Waterville to be closed several nights this month for construction

The city advises drivers to remain cautious, observe signage in the work zone, and obey reduced work zone speed limits.

WATERVILLE, Maine — The City of Waterville has announced the Ticonic Bridge will be closed for construction for several nights this month.

Beginning on Feb. 11, the Ticonic Bridge Project will require the bridge to be closed to all traffic between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Sunday, Feb. 11
  • Monday, Feb. 12
  • Tuesday, Feb. 13
  • Wednesday, Feb. 14
  • Thursday, Feb. 15
  • Sunday, Feb. 18
  • Monday, Feb. 19
  • Tuesday, Feb. 20
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21
  • Thursday, Feb. 22

"During this time, all vehicles will be required to follow the posted detour route. Message boards will be used to warn drivers. Pedestrians should continue to utilize the posted detour route during these times," the city said in a traffic notification on its website.

The city advises drivers to remain cautious, observe signage in the work zone, and obey reduced work zone speed limits.
