WELLS, Maine — Officials closed I-95 northbound between the York and Wells exits for approximately two hours Sunday morning due to a severe crash. Drivers were urged to exit the Maine Turnpike at Exit 7 and return to the road in Wells at Exit 19.
The lanes were opened back up to traffic around 10 Sunday morning.
NEWS CENTER Maine's Zach Blanchard reported LifeFlight landed at the scene of the crash. There is no word from officials what the extent of any injuries are at this time.
According to the Maine Turnpike Authority, the crash happened around 8:30 Sunday morning at mile marker 15 northbound.
