Route 6 in Sebec closed Thursday morning due to crash

Emergency officials are encouraging drivers to take alternate routes Thursday morning.

SEBEC, Maine — Milo Road in the town of Sebec has been closed by officials Thursday morning due to an apparent crash. 

The Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency shared a post on its Facebook page around 8 a.m. noting the road, also called Route 6, was closed and would likely stay closed for several hours while officials respond to the scene. 

Drivers were encouraged to take an alternate route. 

The emergency management agency updated their post around noon to indicate that the road had reopened. 

A local emergency dispatcher also confirmed the information with NEWS CENTER Maine but was unable to share details about the crash.
