Part of Route 4 in Auburn closed for a time due to crash

Traffic was diverted early Thursday morning in Auburn on Route 4 due to a truck crashing into a utility pole.

AUBURN, Maine — A pickup truck crashed into a utility pole early Thursday morning on Center Street (Route 4) in Auburn. 

The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. near K&R Auto in Auburn, according to the Auburn Fire Department.

The fire department also confirmed the driver of the truck was brought to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Southbound lanes were shutdown for a time, northbound lanes were kept open.
