OAKLAND, Maine — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday on Smithfield Road in Oakland.
The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a truck towing a trailer, Oakland police Chief Rick Stubbert told NEWS CENTER Maine.
The two people who were injured were brought to a hospital, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening, Stubbert said.
As of 2:20 p.m. Monday, Smithfield Road was closed between the top of High Street and Town Farm Road, but Stubbert said the road would reopen soon.
Officials said people should avoid the area as crews work to clear the scene.
