Driver dies after car crashes into Norway home

A passenger in the vehicle suffered a compound fracture and was taken to a hospital, police said.

NORWAY, Maine — One person died and another was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a home in Norway on Tuesday.

It happened shortly before 12:45 p.m. at 144 Waterford Road, Norway police said in a release.

The driver died at the scene, and it appears he suffered a medical event, the release stated.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered a compound fracture and was taken to a hospital, according to officials.

Nobody was home at the time of the crash, the release stated.

Police said they would not publicly identify the driver and passenger until their families have been notified.
