No other injuries were reported in the three-vehicle crash involving the motorcyclist, a car, and a bus carrying high schoolers.

PORTLAND, Maine — The motorcyclist who died Tuesday in a crash involving a car and school bus in Gorham has been identified.

Casey Southworth, 18, of Norway was operating a 2003 Kawasaki ZX600 when the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Route 202, also known as the Gray Road, according to a news release issued Wednesday morning by the Gorham Police Department.

Southworth was traveling northbound toward Windham, and a school bus driven by 64-year-old Dennis Dubay of Windham from Windham High School carrying a girls' field hockey team was making a turn onto Libby Avenue, Gorham Police Chief Christopher Sanborn told NEWS CENTER Maine on Tuesday.

According to the news release, the motorcyclist crashed into the back of the turning school bus before being deflected into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by 18-year-old Sarah Valeriani of Gorham.
