Driver injured in Maine Turnpike tractor-trailer crash

KENNEBUNK, Maine — The driver of a tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries in a crash on the Maine Turnpike in Kennebunk Thursday morning.

It happened in the area of southbound mile marker 20, Kennebunk Fire-Rescue said in a social media post.

The truck was carrying food products. Crews worked to mitigate fuel and oil spillage at the scene, the post state.

The driver was taken to a hospital, officials said.

As of 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Kennebunk Fire-Rescue estimated it would take several hours to recover the vehicle, impacting traffic in the area of the Burnt Mill Road overpass.
