KITTERY, Maine — The Maine Turnpike in Kittery is set to have some upcoming lane closures to allow for road maintenance this week.
The Maine Turnpike Authority announced that the southbound exit on-ramp at mile marker 1 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday to allow for both road maintenance and tree cutting, Kittery police said in a Facebook post.
The north and southbound lanes between mile markers 2-3 will be closed Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for concrete barrier installation for permanent right shoulder closure, police said.
"Speed in the area will be reduced to 60 MPH," the post stated.
Police said the right shoulder for both north and southbound lanes will remain permanently closed until further notice.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
