PORTLAND, Maine — A main road to the Portland International Jetport has reopened after being closed Sunday afternoon while police and crews worked to investigate and clear a crash.
The single-vehicle crash took place at about 1 p.m. after a car reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree, Portland police Lt. Robert Doherty told NEWS CENTER Maine.
The driver and one passenger were brought to local hospitals, but their conditions were unknown as of Sunday night.
Both lanes were closed Sunday afternoon while the crash was being investigated and roadway cleared, and information about the crash was still developing, Doherty said. The stretch of road has since reopened, according to officials.
