DEXTER, Maine — A 32-year-old man from Windham died Saturday after the motorcycle he was operating crashed in Dexter.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the northbound direction of Route 7, about a mile from the Dover-Foxcroft town line, Dexter police said Monday in a press release.
When first responders got to the scene, they found a motorcycle had gone down an embankment. Officials with Mayo EMS and the Dexter Fire Department attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene, according to the release.
Dover-Foxcroft police and the Maine Warden Service also assisted at the scene.
Officials have not yet publicly identified the man who died.
The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
