Exeter man killed in Corinth crash

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the man may have suffered a medical event before sustaining head trauma in the crash.

CORINTH, Maine — A man from Penobscot County died after the farm truck he was driving crashed in Corinth on Saturday.

It happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Beans Mill Road, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said Thursday in a press release.

Richard Smith, 73, of Exeter was thrown to the passenger side of the vehicle when the truck collided with trees, the release stated.

Smith may have suffered a medical event before sustaining head trauma in the crash, the sheriff's office said.
