(NEWS CENTER)-- The U-Maine men's hockey team will play three games in Portland during the 2016-17 season. NEWS CENTER has learned that Boston College, Notre Dame, and Brown University will battle the Black Bears at the Cross Insurance Arena.
The Black Bears will host Boston College on Friday, November 4th. On Saturday, November 26th, Brown University will take on Maine. And then on February 10th, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will be in Portland to battle the Black Bears.
Maine has played in Portland in the past but with the Pirates leaving town, there is more ice time available for the Black Bears to have 3 separate dates booked.
Fans can buy individual tickets to each game or purchase a special "Portland Pack", which would cover all three games.
The remainder of the Black Bears hockey schedule has not yet been released.
