ROME, Maine — For the last two weeks, a woman from Rome, Maine says what looks like a barred owl has been visiting her every day.
Jody Marie Knight has affectionately named the owl Eddie.
Knight says about a week after her uncle passed away Eddie showed up to her home in Rome. The owl spends a couple of hours every day looking over her yard and then takes off.
"When they take off to fly the wingspan is amazing. I was shoveling last week it flew right over my head and blew my hair," Knight says.
Valerie Page captured this owl in Biddeford Monday.
Eleanor Dufault says the owl below has visited her family in Bethel during the last few winter storms.
