(NBC Sports/Seth Rubinroit) — Articles written about Randall and Vashti Cunningham always describe the siblings as the children of longtime NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham. But if they continue to collect high jump titles, Randall Sr. might become known as the father of Randall II and Vashti.
Randall II, a sophomore at the University of Southern California, claimed the NCAA high jump title on Friday, clearing 2.25m (7 feet, 4 ½ inches).
Vashti, 18, won the world indoor championship in in March by jumping 1.96m (6-5). The next day, the high school senior signed a professional contract with Nike.
