Boothbay's Elle Logan, already holder of two Olympic gold medals as part of America's eight women rowing team, won a third gold medal Saturday.
Saturday's performance was the best of the bunch, unofficially recording the events fastest time ever posted in Olympic competition.
Logan's eight women crew beat the Netherlands with a 6:01.49 time.
