PHOENIX, Ariz. (NEWS CENTER) -- There aren't many people who can say they've been to the Super Bowl, but there's only a handful who can say they've been to all 49, including Don Crisman of Kennebunk.
"I've kind of made a pact with myself and the guys that I'd make it to 50. They said they're going to go, even if they go in a medevac helicopter," said Crisman.
Crisman and two other men, Larry Jacobson and Tom Henschel, have gone to every single game. They all attended the first Super Bowl in Los Angeles in 1967 when Green Bay beat Kansas City 35-10. Jacobson said he went to the game to impress a woman, and he flew from San Francisco to Los Angeles for the game.
"We went to the game, had a dinner and then went home that night. The whole package cost less than $100, give out ake $5," said Jacobson.
Crisman has been in Visa commercials and fans across the country recognize him. Crisman said it's kind of like being a one-trick wonder; people care about him for 10 days or so, and then forget about him the rest of the year. This year, NBC flew all of them out to Los Angeles and put them in their original 1967 seats.
"They've added 15 rows and dropped the field. But we ended up finding our seats," said Crisman.
He said Super Bowl 50 may be his last and he's been trying to wrap his head around the idea.
"Someday it's going to happen, I guess, I hope...I'm trying to run that through my head every now and then it gets scary," he said.
The Associated Press reports that the group of three had a fourth member until three years ago when Bob Cook of Brown Deer, Wis. died at the age of 79.
