A TikTok video with more than 2 million views claims to be a speech from pop star Lady Gaga against Donald Trump.
“Lady Gaga’s POWERFUL speech against Trump,” text on top of an image of Gaga says. The video was posted by a TikTok account called @kamala.harris.fan.
“Donald Trump, you are an absolute disgrace to America. For those of you who are interested in what I would say to our former president, might want to speed it up, hold right here,” the alleged speech from Gaga begins.
Some people in the comments applauded Gaga for her statement while others questioned whether or not it’s really her speaking.

No, a viral TikTok claiming Lady Gaga called Trump an “absolute disgrace” is fake.
WHAT WE FOUND
The TikTok video with more than two million views includes a real photo of Lady Gaga, but the audio heard in the video is not her.
TikTok allows users to take original audio from one video and add it to other videos on the platform. In this case, the original audio came from a video posted on Aug. 3 by @the1christin, a TikTok user who shares political commentary on their account. The viral video with the image of Gaga was posted to TikTok on Aug. 18.
VERIFY matched the audio from the viral Lady Gaga post and the original from @the1christin – the tone, inflection and words are identical.
The viral post with the photo of Gaga also includes a caption that says the audio is originally from @the1christin.
On Aug. 19, @the1christin posted a video confirming the original audio came from her, with the message, “I am not @LadyGaga.”
While the audio in the viral TikTok is not Gaga, the pop star has spoken out against Trump in the past. The image used in the viral TikTok with the dubbed audio is from a Nov. 2, 2020 election night rally for Joe Biden in Pennsylvania.
Photos from that event show Lady Gaga wearing the same outfit and hair style as the ones seen in the photo featured in the viral post.
