UNION, Maine — A love of history and theater makes Matt Blazek the perfect candidate to be a reenactor. His focus is a bit unusual. He finds himself drawn to the 1415 Battle of Agincourt, in which the English army of Henry V defeated the French.
Blazek loves to visit schools, libraries and civic groups, demonstrating the equipment and techniques of that long-ago era.
"Henry V was about six feet tall, had a dark complexion and was considered good looking for that time," he told NEWS CENTER Maine.
Blazek does a blog and schedules visits through his website The Agincourt Soldier.
He dresses like various soldiers of the 14th and 15th centuries, including a long bowman and a knight.
