HIRAM, Maine — A favorite spot for ice cream in Hiram will be closed on Friday after a frightening robbery Thursday night.
In a Facebook post, Route 160 Ice Cream apologized to its loyal patrons, saying it will be closed on May 10 after the shop was robbed with two of its employees inside shortly after closing on May 9.
Luckily, these workers are safe.
The shop will reopen on Saturday, May 11 from 12-8 p.m.
The staff members at Route 160 say they are thankful for the messages and support from the community after the incident say they are excited to see their customers this weekend.
