PORTLAND, Maine — Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has announced she will be making a campaign stop in Maine only days before Maine voters head to the polls on Super Tuesday.
A rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday at the Portland Elks Lodge located at 1945 Congress St. Doors will open at 6 p.m., according to event details. General admission is free, and tickets can be reserved here.
The former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina governor also plans on making campaign stops in South Burlington, Vermont at 1 p.m. Sunday, and in Needham, Massachusetts, the night before.
The rally comes on the heels of Haley announcing a Maine campaign team on Tuesday, exactly one week before Maine's presidential primary on March 5.
Her campaign team is comprised of former Maine lawmakers, other elected officials, and business and community leaders. It's led by four co-chairs: former Senate Republican leader Mary Small, Women for Nikki Chair and former State Rep. Jayne Crosby Giles, former House Chief of Staff and school board member Billy Thompson, and former school board chair Tyler Washburn. Haley also announced 13 endorsements.
Haley remains the sole Republican challenger to former President and frontrunner Donald Trump, who is currently leading in all polls and has won all previous presidential primaries this year, including Haley's home state.
