New Hampshire officials investigating Moose poaching incident

ERROL, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) -- New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation officers are looking for information in what they call a moose poching incident.

According to officers, the department received a tip that a dead moose was just off the Smokey Camp Brook Road in Errol. Officers said they determined that no meat had been taken from the mature bull moose, but that both antlers were missing.

Officers said they believed the poaching occurred sometime on or around Friday, December 4.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call the New Hampshire Fish and Game Regional Office in Lancaster at 603-788-3164 or the Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-800-344-4262. Information can be left on those hotlines anonymously.

Officers want to remind the public any information, broad or specific, is helpful in these types of investigations.
