WASHINGTON — Krispy Kreme is offering customers a dozen free doughnuts on Monday, Nov. 13, to celebrate "World Kindness Day."
But in order to walk away with a free box of doughnuts, you'll have to act fast to take advantage of the giveaway. The promotion is only available to the first 500 guests at each U.S. location.
The North Carolina-based chain said it hopes the free doughnuts will lead to "millions of small acts of kindness.”
“World Kindness Day is an opportunity to make a positive difference by being generous – from paying it forward to meaningfully connecting with each other. Simple gestures of caring and thanks, including sharing a sweet treat, is a great way to do that,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme.
The company said some of Krispy Kreme's international locations will also have promotions for World Kindness Day on Monday.
World Kindness Day was founded in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement. According to the organization, the holiday is meant to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us.
