Still planning on outdoor activities this holiday weekend? The good news is it won't be a washout. However, there will be a few chances for rain and some rumbles of thunder.
Saturday will see plenty of sunshine for much of the day thanks to an area of high pressure. Clouds will be on the increase late Saturday, with showers breaking out after sunset, as a warm front approaches. You may hear a few rumbles of thunder through the overnight hours.
We will still see some wet spots early Sunday morning, but there will be a break in much of the activity through midday. A few pop-up showers and storms are still possible into the early afternoon. We will see some sunshine around this time, too. A cold front will pass by and clear the area into Memorial Day, as another area of high pressure returns to the region.
Memorial Day will see lots of sunshine, with high temperatures on either side of 70 degrees!
Have a good one.
