OAKLAND, Maine — The Oakland Fire Department says a man was hit by a train late Saturday night.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the train crossing near Oak Street and Main Street at around 11 p.m.
Firefighters have not yet identified the man who was struck, but say he is in his late thirties and was on foot at the time of the incident. He was taken by Life Flight to a nearby hospital and was stable, but in critical condition.
