Man dies in North Anson fire

Investigators said the cause of fire was accidental.

A 63-year-old man died in a house fire Wednesday night in North Anson, the state fire marshal's office said Thursday.

The man's body was found and recovered by firefighters in the kitchen of his own North Main Street home.

The state fire marshal's office on Friday identified the man as William Bloom, according Maine's Public Safety spokesperson Steve McCausland. It was Bloom's home in which firefighters found his body.

Investigators said the cause was accidental. They said the fire started when combustibles located too close to an electric heater caught fire.
