(Press Herald) -- York County sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a fatal crash on Route 5 in Cornish, the Portland Press Herald reports.
The head-on collision was reported at 8 a.m. near Spur Road, Sheriff Bill King told the newspaper. One person is dead and a second patient was taken to an area hospital, he said.
The crash involved a van and a pickup.
A York County sheriff accident reconstruction team is piecing together what happened. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
No names are being released because family members have not been notified, King said.
