DIXMONT, Maine — An 82-year-old man who was reported missing from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, was located in Dixmont with the assistance of Maine State Police.
Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Maine State Police got a missing person notification from Wolfeboro police saying the man had not returned home after leaving for a fishing trip in Hampton, New Hampshire, around 4 p.m., Maine State Police said in a social media post.
Maine State Police troopers and Wolfeboro police dispatchers used cell phone data from Verizon to eventually locate the man in his vehicle on Route 7 in Dixmont at around 4 a.m., the post stated.
The man was taken to a medical facility before being reunited with his family, police said.
