ALLAGASH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) – The Aroostook County Sheriff's Department says a Westbrook man has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident late Saturday night.
Sheriffs say Dana Watts, 23 years old of Westbrook, failed to negotiate a corner and went off the pavement on the Dickey Road in Allagash and died from injuries sustained.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Darrell O. Crandall said Watts was operating his 2003 Kawasaki ZR1000 and was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Crandall says initial investigations leads them to believe speed was a significant factor in the accident. The Aroostook County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the incident.
