WELLS (NEWS CENTER Maine) — One lucky couple from Wells will have a six-figure wedding without paying a dime.
Jacqueline Maude and Phillip Carter won a $100,000 wedding through the 2018 Real Maine Wedding of the Year contest.
According to Real Maine Weddings, their big day will be held in Ogunquit in October.
Maude and Carter were one of 13 couples that created a 2-minute entry video on why they wanted to get married in Ogunquit. They were the announced the winners at the Maine Wedding Association Freeport Wedding Show on Sunday, March 25.
In a press release from Real Maine Weddings, the soon-to-be bride said, “We can’t express how much winning this wedding means to us...My heart is beating out of my chest!”
The magazine says the public will be given the opportunity to vote on certain aspects of the couple’s wedding, including the wedding gown, rings, and much more.
This is the eighth year that Real Maine Weddings has given away a $100,000 wedding.
