SHAPLEIGH, Maine — Two people were sent to the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Shapleigh Tuesday evening.
Shapleigh Rescue Chief Gene Streck told NEWS CENTER Maine crews were notified of the crash on Shapleigh Corner Road in the area of the Newfield town line just after 7:30 p.m.
The crash involved two people who were brought to the hospital for injuries, Streck said. Their current conditions were unknown.
Streck said the cause of the crash was wildlife-related.
Fire and rescue crews from Shapleigh and Newfield responded, according to Streck. The York County Sheriff's Office investigated.
