NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine — Two people were injured Saturday evening in a crash in New Gloucester.
Crews were called to a reported crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Morse Road and Lewiston Road at approximately 7 p.m., according to a news release from New Gloucester Fire Rescue.
Both vehicles had significant damage, and one person was apparently trapped in one of the vehicles, according to the release. New Gloucester Fire Rescue said the individual who was trapped was extracted after removal of the car door, some of the roof, and after the dashboard was rolled out of the vehicle.
Both individuals involved in the crash were brought to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Gray Fire Rescue assisted at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
